“Upon
Further Review”… A compendium of opinions and general diatribes from SportzNutz
featured columnist Matthew Yoder
Welcome to the
latest edition of “Upon Further Review” and can we officially say it’s over now?
The Brett Favre Saga... it’s done right? Green Bay is happy, the Jets are happy
and Favre is left wondering why the heck he decided to come back and play now
(see, I told you he should’ve just stayed retired). Can we all just stop
talking about it and him now?...

FemmeFan Weekly: He’s “Leaving On A Jet Plane”
By: Rhonda Reigstad
The classic Peter, Paul and Mary song couldn’t be more prevalent than now in
Wisconsin. The last couple months have been unlike any other. No one thought
back in March it was going to be like this.
Legendary Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre
announced in March he was retiring from the game of football. In an emotional
press conference with his wife, Deanna, by his side, he told the country that it
was time to leave. Just a few weeks later, his agent called and said
Favre wanted to unretire
and come back....

Interview with
49ers Wide Receiver Marcus Maxwell
The 49ers have ten wide receivers on the practice
field, an eclectic mix of veterans and young ‘uns.
One of those young ‘uns is the subject of this interview.
Marcus Maxwell is 6-4 and 205 pounds. His physical
stature is reminiscent of another 49er wide receiver, Terrell Owens. But, that is
where the similarity ends....

Can I tell you how tired I am of single women complaining about how hard it
is to meet a decent man? The problem is not a dearth of quality men, in fact I
know quite a few single gems, but rather where the ladies are looking. You
aren’t going to find the right man in a sleazy bar or pickup joint. If you want
a man who values integrity, honor, and good sportsmanship than you have go where
the real men are, and in the fall, that means your local sports bar....
There always seems to be a “but”, doesn’t there? No matter what this team does,
no matter how positive, there always seems to be a “but” attached to it. The
latest is Phil Savage’s master stroke during the first weekend of free agency.
During that stretch Savage was able to re-sign quarterback Derek Anderson,
trade a 2nd round pick to Green Bay for defensive tackle Corey
Williams, trade a 3rd round pick and cornerback Leigh Bodden to
Detroit for defensive tackle Shaun Rogers and then sign free agent wide receiver
Donte’ Stallworth. Let’s not forget the re-signing of Jamal Lewis several weeks
earlier. Add it all up and the Browns have changed the face of their team
(Williams, Stallworth and Rogers) and also kept it very much the same (Lewis and
Anderson).....

The last DQI Mock Draft is here and it has a lot of changes,
as many of the sites in the database did updates as late as today. this will be
the final mock, barring any trades overnight, we will do a final update right

if they can find any takers for value so it could be an interesting night leading up to the draft.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Anquan Boldin asked to be traded, saying he doesn't feel his situation can be resolved and declaring he has no relationship with coach Ken Whisenhunt.
'I'm a football player. That's about it,' Boldin said Tuesday when asked to characterize his dealings with the coach these days.
A team spokesman said the Cardinals have no plans to trade the sixth-year standout and still hope to sign him to a contract extension.
Whisenhunt sounded puzzled when discussing reports that Boldin had said he was no longer speaking to the coach.
THE ASSOCIATED PRESS Joe Horn , released by the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday after the team couldn't trade the veteran receiver, said he is relieved he can pursue a job with another team.
