Ticket Stubs
Football playoffs are in full swing, USC has again won a
National Championship and football collectors continue their quest for more
items for their collections.
Ticket stub collecting is a fun type of collectible for
your collection and continues to gain popularity. I have always collected
football ticket stubs and have kept at least one stub from each game that I have
attended over the years. It is a great way to look back at all of the games you
have attended and is a collectible that you automatically get when you go to the
game.
Many collectors of ticket stubs prefer trading for stubs
that they need. Collectors will collect their favorite NFL or College game
stubs, while other collectors collect milestone games. Several collectors just
collect full tickets from the annual NFL Hall Of Fame game. Collecting football
ticket stubs is like owning a piece of football history. Also with fewer
football games being played there are less stubs available as compared to the
other sports.
In my collecting I have come across two excellent
collectors’ ticket stub websites,
http://stubbytrader.com/links.html and
http://www.ticketstubcollector.com/. Both of these sites have trading
forums for those collectors who wish to trade their duplicate stubs for stubs
that they need. I have made several trades with other collectors on both sites
and have increased my football stub collection.
My collection consists of all the college and NFL games
that I have attended over the years, Green Bay Packers stubs from 10/5/58 to the
current season and I am also trying to collect one stub from as many college
games as I can find. I also prefer stubs as compared to full tickets as I know
that in most cases the stub was from the actual game played.
I am also displaying several of my stubs from my personal
collection in this article for my readers to view. Ticket stub collecting is a
fun collectible providing a historical view of the game of football.
Until next time good luck with your collections.
