NFL Preview: San Francisco 49’ers (4-1) at Detroit Lions (5-0)

Following another victory on Monday night, the Detroit Lions look to remain undefeated as they prepare to take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday at Ford Field.

The Lions have been the surprise of the year winning their first five games but the same can be said for the 49ers. Rookie head coach Jim Harbaugh has breathed life into an ailing franchise. Alex Smith’s play has evolved behind a highly rated offensive line.

The Niners’ good start to the season comes to an abrupt end at the hands of Matt Stafford and Megatron. They might be able to stop Jahvid Best, but they can’t go toe to toe with the Lions’ passing game.

Our prediction: Detroit 34 – San Francisco 17
