Debate rages on about Vince Young and his future in Tennessee and even whether he can handle success anywhere at all and overcome his limitations, both mental and otherwise. The comparisons to Michael Vick are almost impossible to ignore and Gene Wojciechowski thinks Vick would make a great mentor to Young. It may be a little early to anoint Mike Vick as anyone’s mentor, but he makes some valid points. On Sunday, Young said his thumb wasn’t hurt seriously. On Monday, he went on IR. If he was injured that badly, it is obvious to everyone except Vince Young who was making the right calls on Sunday. Let’s hope he gets it together sooner than Mike Vick did and in a much easier way while he still has the chance.
